Mike Saunders

Mike joined Benefits Group in 2012. He has been a licensed agent since 1987. He has previous service with American Express, American Fidelity and the Virginia Automobile Dealers Association in Employee Benefits. In addition to group health plan design, Mike specializes in Voluntary benefits and Long Term Care. Mike has been designated a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Registered Employee Benefit Consultant from the American College in Pennsylvania. He is also a graduate of Roanoke College.

Mike is very active in the local and state chapters of the Association of Health Underwriters, holding several positions over the last ten years. Mike has lived in Northwest Roanoke County for 27 years with his wife, Jenny. They have two children and two grandchildren.
